Identifying fake Electrolux technology and websites

Here you can find guidance and support if you suspect that you have encountered fake Electrolux websites or fake Electrolux products.

Electrolux: Safe purchasing

At Electrolux, we genuinely care about the issue of counterfeit products and actively work to tackle this problem. We understand that there are many imitations of our products out there, and our main goal is to keep our valued customers safe from mistakenly purchasing machines falsely marketed as genuine Electrolux products.

We are always looking for ways to support our customers, such as developing technologies that remove the need for expensive vacuum cleaners or investing in research and development to improve your well-being. In the same spirit, we want to protect you from the potential dangers of counterfeit Electrolux products.

Electrolux has a full-time ‘Direct To Consumer Asia Pacific’ team, working to protect shoppers from the risks posed by counterfeit products and fake websites. We work closely with law enforcement bodies to protect shoppers, and take legal action against people involved in the manufacture and distribution of counterfeit Electrolux products.

Why counterfeit Electrolux products may be dangerous

Counterfeit Electrolux products are often cheaply made, potentially dangerous, and do not provide the same stand-out experience as a genuine Electrolux product.

Counterfeit products are not manufactured in controlled Electrolux environments that are designed to ensure the quality and safety of our products. Components and measures used to safeguard our machines are usually omitted.

For this reason, we do not recommend you use counterfeit Electrolux products.

Have you bought a counterfeit product?

The individuals behind counterfeit products go to great lengths to make sure they look as similar to genuine products as possible. It is often only after the machine has been used that a user will become suspicious.

Counterfeit Electrolux products are very difficult to spot: They may appear nearly identical as genuine Electrolux products: from the logos on the products to the packaging they are delivered in. Counterfeit Electrolux products may even include copies of Electrolux’s serial number stickers and Electrolux warranty cards. Their external appearance is where the similarities end.

Common things to look out for which are likely to indicate that you have purchased a counterfeit include:

  • Poor quality manufacturing finish (for example, misapplied Electrolux logos, uneven joins in materials, scratches on the product or uneven edges)
  • Poor quality packaging materials
  • Typos on the product, the packaging or the documentation enclosed in the packaging

Reporting suspicious machines

Electrolux does not service counterfeit products as they are neither manufactured by Electrolux nor contrasted with genuine Electrolux components. We will also not be able to offer you a refund for the counterfeit product you may have purchased.

To ensure that your purchased product or model is an authentic Electrolux item, we encourage you to contact our Customer Care team at the toll free: 1-300-88-1122. Our representatives are available to assist you from 8.30am to 5.30pm (Monday – Friday).
